Red-eyed tree frog's lifecycle

Many scientists believe the red-eyed treefrog developed its vivid scarlet peepers to shock predators into questioning their meal choice. Any small hesitation gives the frog the split second it needs to leap to safety. Red-eyed treefrogs are nocturnal, and feed on moths and crickets, which they catch with their long, sticky tongues.



A momma tree frog won't settle for just any location for her eggs.
